State Highway 5 in Reporoa has reopened after police responded to an incident at a residential property.
Earlier, police closed State Highway 5 which runs through the Waikato town.
Nobody was injured, and a person was taken into custody at 9.55am.
Police said the road was closed and the Armed Offenders Squad was deployed as a precaution, as the alleged offender may have had access to a firearm.
