Civil Aviation Authority investigators are expected to begin combing the scene of a fatal light plane crash in South Canterbury tomorrow.

The pilot of a single-seat Baby Great Lakes aircraft died in the crash between Omarama and Twizel this morning.
Two investigators will examine the scene, near State Highway 8, and interview emergency service workers and witnesses.
The authority has already been contacted by a witness to the crash and is appealing for others to come forward.
Police are also making enquiries in relation to the death on behalf of the Coroner.
The pilot was from the Omarama area.
