Two people are in Waikato Hospital following a light plane crash at Tokoroa Airfield this afternoon.

Fire and Emergency said the two on board received moderate injuries.
The plane crashed on take-off just before 12.30pm
The Civil Aviation Authority said it was a Jodel-11 amateur built aircraft , which will be removed later on Thursday from the airfield.
It said it will continue to work with the pilot and aerodrome operator over next few days.
The CAA said the airfield will remain closed so an inspection and investigation can be completed.
It said the accident occurred in gusty wind conditions, but it will not speculate on the cause until the incident is properly reviewed by its investigation team.
