Two critical after collision in Auckland

Two people have been critically injured in a two-vehicle collision in Auckland.

Police were called to the scene on North Road in Clevedon just before 5pm.

Unexplained death in Taita, Lower Hutt early on Sunday 26th January 2020.  A Police cordon and crime scene invetsigation tent were in place Monday 27th January 2020.

Emergency services also attended the scene this evening. Police said two people sustained critical injuries.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised and will be examining the scene.

North Road is currently closed between Maraetai-Coast Road and Mark Williams Drive.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area while cordons remain in place.

An investigation will follow into the circumstances of the crash.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist who crashed on the Crown Range in Otago this morning has died.

Police say the motorcyclist hit a barrier near Cardrona Village and died at the scene.

The Crown Range Road has reopened.
