The families of Wellington border workers and frontline health staff have begun receiving their Covid-19 vaccine jab.

Five community vaccination centres are now open with one in Lower Hutt the first to start giving out shots today.
Primary health organisation Te Awakairangi chief executive Bridget Allan said she was pleased to begin this next phase so health workers could continue doing their important work.
Tens of thousands of managed isolation and border workers and their families nationwide have already got their shots, with more than 50,000 health workers to get it.
Two million of the most at-risk groups will be vaccinated by mid-2020.
The vaccine is the most effective way to protect people from Covid-19.
It has been tested locally and internationally, and is free for New Zealand residents.
