Niue's Director of Health says the island is aiming to have its border with New Zealand opened by June.

Dr Eddie Akau'ola said New Zealand had committed to providing vaccines for Niue's adult population starting next month.
Akau'ola said if they could administer all first doses during April they would have the second jabs completed during May and potentially be ready for two way travel by June.
He said Niue's Health Minister, Sauni Tongatule, had been in discussions with New Zealand's Minister for Pacific People's 'Aupito William Sio.
"They agreed that New Zealand will start rolling out vaccines to the Pacific Islands including Niue starting April but the date is not set. The numbers for total population to be vaccinated is about one-thousand-one-hundred. That covers 18 years and over."
Quarantine free travel begins next Wednesday for Niueans travelling to Auckland however a two-way travel bubble would allow Niue to kick-start its mothballed tourism industry.
