A man has handed himself into the police after a stabbing in Alexandra last week.

A 22-year-old man was flown to Dunedin Hospital in a serious condition after the assault late on Wednesday.
He has since been discharged.
Police said the alleged attacker, who is 28, had been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm along with several other charges.
