A homicide investigation has been launched in the Bay of Plenty after a man was found dead at an in Omanawa property.

Police were called to the address on McLaren Falls Road about 10pm on Monday following a report of a person being injured.
When officers arrived they found the man dead.
Authorities say a person is assisting with their inquiries.
