One person has died in a house fire in New Windsor, Auckland early this morning.

Emergency services were called to the property on Mulgan St around 5.45am.
Police said the cause of the fire is not yet known at this stage and the victim has not yet been formally identified.
Police will be working at the scene today with Fire and Emergency NZ investigators.
