A slip blocked part of State Highway 1 near Hundalee between Christchurch and Kaikōura this morning.

The Transport Agency says the slip was cleared and the northbound lane reopened just before 10am.
Traffic was still able to get through earlier under the closure as one lane was open under stop-go management.
There was also congestion on SH1 between Christchurch and Waipara due to holiday traffic.
