Police are continuing to investigate after a gunshot was heard at a popular Auckland bar.

The gun was fired shortly before 3am on Sunday when a group of people became agitated after being removed from Dr Rudi's Rooftop bar.
After a brief altercation with other people outside the bar, the gun was shot into the foyer ceiling.
Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Franich says the incident was extremely serious and it was lucky no one was injured.
No arrests have been made, but police are making enquiries to find the person responsible.
