The death of a man in West Auckland last night is being investigated by the police.
Police were called to a disturbance at an address in Waitaki Street in Henderson at about 9.15pm.
Detective Inspector Kevin McNaughton said the man was seriously injured when the police arrived and he died at the scene.
The investigation is in its early stages and only limited details are available, he said.
