One dead after house fire in east Auckland

One person has died following a house fire in east Auckland this evening.

A fire was extinguished at a two-storey house on Minerva Terrace in Cockle Bay.

Emergency services were called to the two-storey house on Minerva Terrace in Cockle Bay just before 7pm.

Fire and Emergency says the house was well-alight when they arrived.

The fire has now been extinguished.

Two other people have been injured and transported to Middlemore Hospital.

Police will be working with Fire and Emergency to determine the circumstances of the fire.
