A man in his 30s is in a critical condition in Auckland Hospital after a skydiving accident this morning.

The incident happened near Parakai, about 40km northwest of Auckland, at about 10.30am.
Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust spokesperson Lincoln Davies said it was unclear at this stage what happened.
