A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle on Great South Road, Papatoetoe, yesterday has died.

Detective Senior Sergeant Kepal Richards said the man was taken to hospital with critical injuries yesterday evening and died of his injuries.
"Our thoughts are with the man's family at this time," Richards said.
Police said the driver they believed was involved in the crash was helping them with their enquiries.
The death has been referred to the coroner.
Pedestrian dies in Petone, Lower Hutt
A man died at the scene after being hit by a car near Petone railway station this morning.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash which occurred on on Hutt Road near Jackson Street.
