Sarah Anderson was due to appear in the Dunedin District Court to face charges of assaulting a police officer, driving while forbidden and breaching the lockdown by being in Kaitangata, some 10km from her home, on 11 April.

Only two days earlier the 31-year-old had allegedly given false information to a police officer in Milton and was driving while forbidden.

Her lawyer couldn't explain her absence from court, and Judge Kevin Phillips issued a warrant for her arrest.
