A body has been found in west Auckland bush this afternoon.

Police say they were making inquiries around Epping Rd in Henderson about a missing man when the body was discovered.
Detective Senior Sergeant, Tim Williams, says the body may be that of the missing person, however, that won't be confirmed until formal identification has been carried out.
The area has been cordoned off and a scene guard will remain in place overnight.
