Police are appealing for witnesses to a suspicious house fire in Palmerston North.
The property on Church Street caught alight late yesterday afternoon and a man was seen running from it, towards Tiraumea Street and Victoria Avenue, shortly after.
An investigation has found that a person had spent a considerable amount of time at the vacant property before the blaze broke out.
Police also want to hear from anyone who has CCTV operating in the area.
