A man has been found dead in a crashed vehicle in Hawke's Bay.
Police were alerted to the crash on Lake Road, Tuai, at 3.40pm yesterday.
Although formal identification is yet to take place, police believe the dead man was Wayne McGillen.
The 53-year-old was reported missing earlier this week.
"Our thoughts are with Mr McGillen's family and loved ones at this tragic time," a police spokesperson said.
The death will be referred to the Coroner.
