A woman's body has been recovered from the Tutaekuri River near Taradale in the Hawke's Bay.

The police national dive squad helped Hawke's Bay police recover the body after it was found by a member of the public about 7pm last night.
The police are working to identify the body, and a post mortem examination will be conducted tomorrow.
A guard will be on the scene until tomorrow, when searches of the area are planned.
