A person has died after a truck and train crash in Flaxton, Waimakariri.

Emergency services were called to the crash about 7.30am on Mulcocks Road, between Kaiapoi and Rangiora.
Police said the cycle lane was closed and advised people to avoid the area.
St John Ambulance said all 95 passengers on board the Coastal Pacific train heading to Picton had been assessed and were uninjured.
KiwiRail said passengers onboard the train would continue their trip on buses.
Its chief operating officer Todd Moyle said passengers would continue to Picton via bus.
Moyle said incidents like this were extremely upsetting, and the train driver would be offered support.
He also said the level crossing on Mulcocks Rd was protected by flashing lights and bells.
