Dozens of firefighters are putting out a rubbish fire in Ruapehu district.

The fire at a property in Manunui has spread to about a hectare and closed part of state highway 4.
Fire and Emergency say about 60 firefighters and a helicopter are at the scene but are struggling to put it out.
Police are working to reopen state highway 4.
