Two people have died in separate crashes today after a car crashed south of Ashburton and a motorcyclist crashed in Stratford.
One person died in a single-vehicle crash at a rural property on Ealing Road, Coldstream, south of Ashburton at about 1.10pm, police said.
The Serious Crash Unit and Worksafe were advised, police said.
Police said a motorcyclist died in Taranaki after crashing at a private rural property on Salisbury Road in Stratford at about midday.
