Elderly woman with dementia missing from Ōtara home

The police are asking the public to help find an elderly women who went missing from her home in south Auckland this morning.

Simeli Vaeau, 72 years old, was last seen at about 9am at her home in Wymondley Road, Ōtara.

She was reported missing shortly after 9.30am.

Police said Ms Vaeau has dementia and may not have access to her medication.

They are concerned about her welfare.

Ms Vaeau was last seen wearing a purple jacket and grey track pants.

She's 154cm tall, slim and has short grey hair.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen her in the area or the wider Counties Manukau area, including Clover Park and Manurewa, to contact them.
