An elderly woman is in hospital after a hit and run in west Auckland.
Police said they were called to Henderson on Esdel Street near Vitasovich Avenue about 1pm today after reports of a person being hit by a car.
They said the woman was in a serious condition.
Police are now looking for the vehicle involved and ask anyone who has information to contact them.
Both lanes were closed on Edsel Road but are now open.
