A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Christchurch this morning.
Police said the person was hit near the intersection of Ferry Road and Olliviers Road in the suburb of Phillipstown about 11.45am.
A police spokesperson said the Serious Crash Unit would be attending the scene and the intersection would be closed for some time.
