Police are seeking information about a hit-and-run that left a person seriously injured.
The pedestrian was crossing State Highway 2 at Pahoia north of Tauranga just after 7pm last night when they were hit by a white van travelling north.
The driver did not stop.
Any witnesses to the incident or people who have seen a white van with frontal damage in the area are urged to contact the police.
