An Air New Zealand passenger plane that lost power in one of its engines mid-flight has landed safely at Tauranga airport.
Flight NZ8260 left Wellington just after midday and landed just before 1pm.
The airline said pilots shut down one engine as a precautionary measure after a potential issue was identified.
Emergency services were on standby at the airport but were not needed.
Engineers are inspecting the Bombardier Q300 aircraft.
