A truck has lost its load of logs on a railway crossing on State Highway 1 near Hukerenui in the Far North.
Police advised the road was down to one lane on Monday morning, and that there would be a full road closure later in the morning to allow heavy haulage equipment to be used to remove the fallen logs.
Motorists were advised to delay non-essential travel as alternative routes are not readily avaliable.
No-one has been injured in the incident.
