Power supplies were still patchy in parts of Horowhenua on Wednesday night.
There have been cuts to electricity supplies over the past 24 hours after strong winds blew trees on power lines.
Lines company Electra said most areas should be reconnected by 8pm on Wednesday, but there would be no hot water until Thursday morning.
