A child has been struck by a car in Henderson, west Auckland, and is in a critical condition at Starship Hospital.
Police said the incident happened about 3.15pm on Hindmarsh Street near the intersection with Bruce McLaren Road.
Part of Hindmarsh Street is closed while the Serious Crash Unit examines the scene.
