4:20 pm on 8 March 2009

Police in Auckland are asking a good samaritan who drove an injured man to hospital to come forward to help find the people responsible for the serious assault.

Police are looking for two Asian men, one with dyed blonde hair, in relation to a serious assault which occurred in Governor Fitzroy Place in Auckland city on Friday night.

Police are yet to speak to the victim, who was hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries, but they are appealing to witnesses to come forward.

They want to speak to the female driver who picked up the victim and another person on Mayoral Drive, and drove them to hospital.
