Search and rescue teams have found a body in the search for a Danish hunter on the West Coast.
The 21-year-old went into the Cassel Flat area in the Karangarua Valley, South Westland last Monday to hunt tahr, and was reported overdue yesterday.
Police said a body found in the area this morning was yet to be formally identified, but they believed it was the man they had been looking for.
The death will be referred to the coroner.
