Police in Christchurch are searching through closed circuit television footage to try to get more information about a possible kidnapping.
A member of the public reported seeing a young woman being forced into a four-wheel-drive vehicle by two men in the central city on Friday night.
Detective Sergeant Leairne Dow says police have been searching through footage in efforts to locate the woman who is believed to have fair hair and be in her mid-20s.
Ms Dow says there have been no missing persons listed that meet the description given of the woman.
Police are still appealing for the public to come forward with any information.
