Timaru home robbery: Pair sought over assault on 60yo

Police in Timaru are searching for a man and a woman after a 60-year-old was assaulted during a robbery of his home last week.

A 42-year-old Timaru woman has already been arrested in relation to the attack but the police believe another female and a male were also involved.

Officers were called to an home in Kiwi Drive about 5pm last Thursday after the occupant of the address was assaulted and robbed.

"A 60-year-old man received cuts and bruising," police said.

"He was treated in hospital and has since been discharged."

The 42-year-old woman was charged with aggravated robbery and had been remanded in custody.

"Police are following strong lines of enquiry to identify the other two offenders," they said.

"Police are seeking information in relation to any suspicious behaviour on 11 April between 1pm and 5pm on Kiwi Drive, in particular in close proximity to Westend Park.

"We also ask that anyone that may have CCTV footage in the area at that time to contact Police."
