A man has been arrested after a 60km pursuit by police from Masterton to Pahiatua.
Police say they tried to stop a suspected drink driver in Masterton but he drove off. Speeds of up to 160km per hour were reached in the ensuing half-hour chase.
The pursuit ended when road spikes were used to disabled his vehicle.
A man, 25, faces various driving charges.
