A car and a train have crashed at a railway crossing on the West Coast.

Police were alerted to the crash at State Highway 7, Totara Flat District, Raupo, shortly before 11.30am.
The sole occupant of the car is now out of the vehicle.
Ambulance and Fire and Emergency were also called to the scene.
