Motorists can expect some delays along State Highway 6 near Cromwell for night works from tonight.

Investigative drillings are due to begin at Scrubby Corner in Kawarau Gorge about 10 kilometres past Cromwell's Big Fruit.
The Transport Agency said that work will be undertaken between 7pm and 7am until 20 March.
Agency maintenance contract manager Mark Stewart said drilling was needed to test ground conditions before slumping in the area can be resolved.
A single lane stop/go traffic management will be in place and motorists can expect delays of up to 10 minutes.
