A person has died after a crash involving a car and a motorbike near Rotorua this morning.
Another person has been taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Emergency services were called to the crash, on State Highway 30 near Tikitere, at about 10:40am.
The road is closed and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
The police serious crash unit is investigating.
