Police are asking drivers in Tauriko near Tauranga, to avoid Cambridge Road after a fatal crash.
A motorcyclist died in a crash about 4.30am today, at the intersection of Sycamore Rise and Cambridge Road.
The road was closed for several hours, but is now partially opened.
But a Serious Crash Unit investigation is continuing, and drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
