A woman is in hospital after falling through the floorboards at a Timaru cafe and becoming trapped.
Firefighters were called in to help the woman, who was stuck at hip-height in the floor at Arthur Street Kitchen this morning.
They were called at 10.50am, and spent about 20 minutes cutting her free.
She was in quite a lot of pain and distress, but members of the public helped to keep her calm, Fire and Emergency said.
She was taken by ambulance to Timaru Hospital in a moderate condition.
