Police are appealing for information after reports a teenager was suspiciously approached on Auckland's North Shore last week.
Police said a man driving a white SUV-type vehicle approached a 16-year-old girl on Porritt Avenue, Chatswood, last Wednesday.
He asked for directions before asking her inappropriate questions, opening the passenger door and asking her to get in.
The young woman quickly walked off and told her parents, who reported the matter to police.
The man is described as Pākehā, aged between 35 to 45, of slim build with black hair and two discoloured front teeth.
