Baby with 'non-accidental' injuries still in serious condition

A baby boy who the police say was deliberately injured in Tauranga a week ago remains in a serious condition in hospital.

The three-week-old was involved in an incident at Welcome Bay on 30 December.

Police said his injuries were non-accidental and have shocked the officers working on the case.

A team of 13 investigators has been working to find who is responsible.
