Motorists leaving Wellington are experiencing significant delays after a bus caught fire on State Highway 1 this morning.
No-one has been injured and all passengers are off the bus.
State Highway 1 is down to one lane near Aotea in Porirua.
The fire was reported at 10:40am and both fire and police officers are working to remove the bus.
Police are urging motorists to avoid the area if possible.
