One person has died and another suffered critical injuries when a car hit a power pole in Auckland.
Police were called to the crash on Godley Road in Green Bay shortly after midnight.
The injured person is now in a stable condition in hospital and Godley Road is expected to reopen soon.
Godley Road had been closed overnight but was due to reopen early morning, with traffic management in place.
