Police have located a body believed to be that of missing fisherman Peter Koziol.
Mr Koziol, who was a fisherman from Palmerston North, was last seen on Monday 10 December by the Waipawa Bridge on State Highway 2.
Police said the body was found about 1.5 kilometres down stream from the State Highway 5 bridge in Waipawa.
Formal identification is yet to take place, and the death has been referred to the coroner.
Mr Koziol's family have been notified, and are requesting privacy while they grieve.
They are thanking all volunteers and police staff involved in the search.
