A man riding a scooter received serious head injuries near the Brewtown brewing precinct in Upper Hutt last night.
Wellington Free Ambulance cannot confirm if the scooter was a Lime e-scooter.
The scooter sharing company, in which people can pick up and drive electric scooters for a fee, launched in the Hutt Valley yesterday.
The ambulance service said it took the man to Hutt Hospital.
