A 59-year old Rotorua man has been charged with the murder of a 10-month old baby boy in 2014.
Karlos Stephens died shortly after being admitted to Rotorua Hospital with severe head injuries.
Detective Senior Sergeant Lindsay Pilbrow said recent medical advice on the cause of Karlos' death enabled them to launch a homicide investigation.
The accused will appear in the Rotorua District Court today.
