A 71-year-old man is due to appear in the Christchurch District Court on Tuesday charged with deception.

He is the 11th person arrested as part of the National Organised Crime Group's investigation known as Operation Inca with 10 other people arrested last Wednesday.

The Racing Integrity Unit earlier said it had banned those who had been charged by the police.

The unit said they could no longer enter a race course to attend race meetings, workouts or trials. It said it had also charged them with serious offences under the Rules of Harness Racing.
