A Whangarei high school student is recovering in hospital after falling and hitting his head this morning.
St John Ambulance said emergency services were called just before 11.30am to Excellere College in Kamo after the male student, who felt dizzy after a PE class, fainted and hit his head in a sick bay.
He has been taken to Northland Base Hospital.
Principal Graeme Whitehead said the teenager was now walking and talking at the hospital.
